How much help do you need?

There are two ways I can help, depending on how far you've already got.

If you need help working out what's fair, The Full Support takes you through the whole process - from understanding your financial position and working through the decisions, to reaching an agreement and getting everything properly documented.

If you've already reached an agreement, The Agreement Review gives you the legal review and documentation you need to make sure it's properly dealt with.

Either way, I work with both of you together.

The Full Support:

“We need help working out what's fair.”

For couples who want to reach an agreement together but need help understanding what's fair and working through the decisions.

You don't need to have agreed how you're going to divide everything before you come to me.

I'll work with you both through the whole process - helping you understand your financial position, what needs to be considered and what the law says about fairness in your circumstances.

Where there are decisions to make or things you're not sure about, I'll help you work through them together so you can reach an agreement that works for both of you.

Once you've reached an agreement, I'll make sure everything is properly documented and prepare the legal paperwork needed to make it binding.

✔ A structured financial disclosure process - so you both have a clear picture of the finances before making decisions

✔ Shared legal guidance for you both - so you both understand what the law considers fair in your circumstances

✔ Help working through the decisions together - including any sticking points where you're finding it difficult to agree

✔ A professionally drafted Separation Agreement recording what you've agreed

✔ A Consent Order setting out your financial agreement for the court to approve

✔ Preparation and support with all required court paperwork

Fixed fee: £1,750 per person (£3,500 per couple)

Outcome:

A financial agreement you've reached together, with everything properly documented and submitted to the court for approval - so you can both move forward knowing it's been dealt with properly.

Option 2: The Agreement Review

“We've already reached an agreement.”

For couples who have already worked out how they want to divide their finances and want a solicitor to review what they’ve agreed and formalise it properly.

You’ve done the difficult part yourselves and reached an agreement together.

Now you want to make sure you understand the legal implications of what you’ve agreed, identify any issues that need to be considered and get everything properly documented.

I’ll work with you both to review your proposed agreement, explain any legal issues you need to be aware of and prepare the documents needed to formalise it.

✔ A legal review of your proposed settlement - including whether there are any issues you need to consider before going ahead

✔ Shared legal guidance for you both - so you understand the implications of what you’ve agreed

✔ A professionally drafted Separation Agreement - recording your agreement

✔ A Consent Order setting out your financial agreement for the court to approve

✔ Preparation and support with all required court paperwork

Fixed fee: £1,250 per person (£2,500 per couple)
